Dr. Karla Cortez Duda, PT, DPT, OCS is a Board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialities. She graduated with honors from Western Illinois University with a Bachelors of Science in Biology and a minor in Psychology. She then received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2007 from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. Dr. Duda advanced her professional training by completing an Orthopedic Clinical Residency through The Institute of Manipulative Physiotherapy and Clinical Training in 2013.
Dr. Duda enjoys treating a wide array of orthopedic and neurological impairments affecting the spine, upper/lower extremities, and balance/vestibular systems. She has over 9 years of experience in Industrial Rehabilitation and on-site job coaching. Dr. Duda also enjoys treating the injured runner, and is a 3 time Chicago Marathon finisher herself.
Throughout her career, Dr. Duda has learned to strive for the delivery of exceptional physical therapy care and customer service. She believes that listening to each patient’s needs and delivering exceptional quality care is ultimately what helps them achieve the best outcomes. While her clinical focus is correcting biomechanical dysfunction and treating the pathology, she strongly believes in patient education to minimize the risk of re-injury and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Dr. Duda is bilingual in Spanish and English, is an APTA credentialed Clinical Instructor, and in 2014 was named a 5 Star Physical Therapist by Chicago Magazine.
